Badass Brimstone

As one of the controllers in Valorant, Brimstone plays a crucial role in the game. Like other games, each character has a role within a team in this strategy game category. Valorant, a game released by Riot in 2020 and played on PC, has become a favorite among FPS (First-Person Shooter) fans, alongside CS-GO. Why not? I learned about Valorant from a friend in 2021 and still play it in my spare time. However, there's one thing I really like about Valorant: the characters it offers.

General Brimstone?

Brimstone is one of only five controllers in the game. This agent was released in the game's beta phase, so it's been around for a while. It's one of the agents that doesn't need to be unlocked from the start.

It's also one of the "easiest" smoker characters to play in the game, yet still very useful on some maps. If you're looking to learn how to play controllers/smokers, Agent Brimstone might be the perfect place to start.

Role in the game.

As I mentioned above, Brimstone is a controller agent. One of the main goals of a controller is to help their team gain control of the map by first cutting off the opponent's vision. They are also skilled at forcing enemies into chokepoints.

The official controller description is as follows:

"Controllers are experts in slicing up dangerous territory to set their team up for success."

Brimstone is arguably one of the most fun agents to use in Valorant. Whether he's burning enemies with his Molotov skill (Q keybind) or slowly burning them to death with his Ultimate (X keybind), Brimstone has some very entertaining ways to secure kills.

This American controller also provides more utility than most other agents with his wide range of abilities. However, this all comes down to how the pilot plays.

Harvesting assists.

In my experience playing Brimstone, both competitively and unrated, I often get a lot of assists, or what I call the "A" in KDA (Kills or Deaths or Assists). As is well known, Brimstone is a team-building type. Three of Brimstone's skills/abilities allow me to put opponents in vulnerable positions and defeat them more easily, which is very useful when capturing sites (A Sites/B Sites/C Sites), while his Stim Beacon skill (C keybind) can help me and my teammates gain the upper hand in duels. Of course, let's not forget his signature and vital skill, his Smokes (E keybind), which are the most among other controller agents (3 smokes in total).

Again, to become a Brimstone pilot in Valorant, you definitely need to practice frequently and gain extensive experience to optimally assist your team and win games.

With so many characters or agents, you don't have to try them all. It depends on team compatibility and player abilities. Opinions may differ, but for me, playing one agent and mastering their character is better than switching agents and not doing much in the game. Or worse, forcing yourself (for competitive rankings). Because, from their strengths to their weaknesses, you'll discover everything you need to know. For me, Brimstone might be my favorite.
